Thought as a process is used by certain groups to create air tight compartments of supporters and opponents. And in modern days social media is being meticulously used to serve this purpose. It's natural a certain fact is viewed by different perspectives by different people as per their own understanding but even before arriving at a conclusion some well integrated forces interfere through media & social media, start carpet bombing like posts & debate items and compel people to form an idea about the fact even without knowing & understanding the fact. The fact is converted into perception. People start believing in perception like a fact. Then this perception is used to deliver a certain sort of thought. Those who refuse to accept perception as a fact are branded as opponents although they may not have any role in opposing or favouring a fact. Their crime is that they just do try to see the fact as it is. Take a very recent example, Hathras rape issue. The information first made available is that a sc girl was raped by four upper caste men. This was a fact. U might try to understand and comprehend the incident. But even before u started to develop ur understanding media and social media interfered with a perception that no rape was actually committed and this was only to dishonour the government of the day. There was no fact finding exercise behind this logic. Neither the protagonists needed any thing like fact check. Their aim was to create a perception & their means included carpet bombing like social media postings and debates in news channel. U were forced to move from the crime of rape to poltical ideological standings. Those who couldn't bear the onslaught succumbed to their bombarding. And those who stood for understanding the fact were branded as opponents. Certain types of thoughts were designed. And common people were divided in two air tight compartments. In between these exercises issue of rape was covered.
Now the issue is how we can avoid to be compartmentalized. Yes we can , and we can do so only if we insist for understanding the truth of a fact. U can't understand a fact if u don't understand it's truth. And this pursuit may require ur more alert attention.
