Sanskritization is sociological jargon characterising the cultural movement of India's middle and lower castes and in some cases tribes as well towards higher echelons of caste hierarchy by adopting cultural practises of those castes at higher hierarchy. Recently the same phenomenon is happening in the field of power politics also. Sociological Sanscritization had not only enabled the lower and middle castes to achieve higher cultural bases, but also empowered them politically and economically.
