NO VOLITION IN VACCINATION
We have a large manpower at the disposal of the government at the grass root level throughout the country. If we could fix our priorities ,if we could have enough vials of vaccines , and if we could have microplan there is no doubt we could have broken the ice. But for this the most important ingredient is the addmission of truth as it was. Adopting technology is definitely a positive step but since vaccination for protection from cover 19 is a life saving exercise , vaccination can't be left to individual's volition. Vaccination drive with Locust plague approach was need of the time. Strategies must have some longevity and stability even if there might be some issues. Quick and fundamental changes creat confusion and this is detrimental to the success. I can say with all confidence that the existing government machinery in India is so large, so committed that if it could have been provided proper leadership at the grassroot level it was capable of giving wonder results. We have seen this at the time of polio vaccination drives and our vaccination programms have shown we can do it.
Returning to the core issue, if we really wish to make this vaccination drive a success story element of choice must be removed immediately, and design the plan according to the principles based on scientific attitude. In context of covid 19 only hundred percent vaccination is capable to make India a better place.
