Marginalization of weaker sections started getting strength from 90s globally with the triumph of capitalism and market driven social order and in the year 2020 the process seems to complete one full cycle. The advent of phrases like "SOCIAL DISTANCING" "LOCKDOWN" "QUARANTINE" has established the supermacy of chaotic social order where only affluents and those who have control over and access to the resources can survive and those standing at the other end have to toil and to pay price for continuous failures of the power enjoying class. Although migrants(although it's also a misplaced word for workers of the same country) march to their homeland may be a catastrophical scene in India only it highlights the original character of the class of powerful. The governments have already shunned the decorative exhibition of sympathy which is evident from each and every step they are taking. When the Prime Minister who is supposed to be Prime Minister of the Nation comprising of all rich and poor comes to television to address his fellow countrymen he deliberately ignores mentioning of the plight of labour class as this class does not fit in his scheme of rule. This is followed by his fellow party men, his ministers and the bureaucracy And more importantly his footsteps are being followed by large middle class of this country who frowns upon the miserable workers as migrants creating burden on exchequer. Poverty is not index based phenomenon . Poverty is a social system in which the population is denied to access to the resources, be material or intellectual. This denial is being perpetuated by compelling them to leave their workplace with the confidence in the minds of the middle and rich class that this section of population being bereft of resources will have to approach to them ultimately with folded hands for bread and work. When u deprive them of the most basic needs it's certain they will not ask for other humanitarian needs like health and education facility. By doing so the society made of middle and rich sections is ensuring two objectives simultaneously. One is the present marginalization of workers and the other is the guarantee for availability of powerless labour force in future. This is evident from the haste shown in scrapping of all labour rights at one stroke by the state goverments of the party which is also in power at the center.
And see the propaganda being spread by all means of media. Corona virus has been advertised by the goverments as the main culprit. But is it true? The fact is that diseases, epidemics and pandemics are natural to occur. It's the duty of our governments to create the system to contain the diseases. Of course this disease has no concrete medical remedy. But is it single disease which has no remedy? And what about those diseases which have medical remedies but which are still prevalent. And in many cases the poor can't have access to the available medical remedies in many cases. And in many other cases even if they can have access they are not being benefitted . See examples. HIV, Cancers have no concrete remedies but people are living with them. See, heart diseases, Hepatitis B , and so many other diseases have medical remedies but throughout the world the poor have been denied the treatment due to heavy costs they bear. And there are many other diseases for which special programmes are being carried out without desired results due to faulty implementation and rampant corruption prevailing in the health system. And Nutrition is still the biggest issue in the area of health despite availability of more than required food items in the government stocks. All this is not natural like Corona Virus, rather they are created by the powerful section which has access to all resources.
And what about information? Propaganda is being advertised as knowledge. This makes the weaker section more and more weaker. And propaganda makes the richer section more and more powerful.!
