Leadership is the essence of development. If we have all other ingredients but not a meaningful leadership development is bound to cease. All resources put together can not yield results. In fact, in want of a sensible leadership all resources may be put to retard the wheel.
And this is the case throughout the world which is being apparent during corona hour. Europe, America and many Asian nations are neither resource deprived nor skill deprived, yet their sufferings are not only pathetic but also eye opening that resources in want of a sensible leadership are not better than ashes. See, US has money, power, skill, and one of the best civic amenity system with strongest army and intelligence network. But all these have failed to protect Americans from their worst misery after WW11. US is not only the land of material resources, but it has richest scientific-intellectual resources as well. But interestingly these scientific-intellectual resources could not stop the tide of corona.
There are innumerable explanations and such more and more explanations are coming daily. In between such explanations there are strayed intelligence tips reminding us that US has still an intelligence network.
Do u guess why it's so? The most plausible explanation comes from the politico-administrative failures. The leadership under Trump administration is weaker and wayward than any other previous regime America had. This also reminds us when a successful businessman is given the command of the nation a fierce clash of interest occurs that may be tilted in favour of businessman. And then leadership loses its way in the clumsy net of business.
And this also happens when politics has list it's democratic character and becomes a tool to serve the interests of individuals and groups. When democracy starts lacking heal for public welfare and starts taking more interest in some factions of society it loses its all encompassing character and role both. The result is lopsided development of country and society. So when a pandemic of cosmopolitan character takes places we starts finding holes in the system . US and rest of the world, barring a few exceptions are feeling it now. COVID 19 has been causing such disasters not because of rapid mutation of novel corona virus rather because of harmful mutation of politics which despite all progress has been creating more fissures than bridges.
